You, together
Couples & Engagements
For the quiet understanding, the easy laughter, and everything that feels like the two of you. Whether you’re celebrating an engagement or making time for each other, we’ll shape a session around your connection.
The familiar closeness. The big personalities. The little ones with their own ideas. Family photographs can hold all of that. My approach leaves space for movement, affection, and the way your family naturally fits together.
A photograph can introduce you before you say a word. For your work, your creative life, or just for yourself, we’ll make space for an expression that feels considered, comfortable, and recognizably yours.
I’m Tarek, the photographer behind Visuals by Tarek. I’m based in Los Angeles / Torrance and photograph couples, families, and individuals.
I’m interested in what makes a photograph feel like a person: a familiar gesture, a bit of character, the way someone relaxes around the people they love.
You don’t have to arrive knowing what to do in front of a camera. We’ll start with a conversation. I’ll offer direction when it helps and leave room for you to be yourself.

03 How it begins
A session starts with a hello.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. We’ll find the details together.
Start with the kind of session you’re thinking about and any dates or ideas you have. Use the inquiry builder below, or email me directly.
02
Let’s talk it through.
We’ll discuss the feeling you’re after, availability, pricing, and the practical details. It’s a chance to ask questions and get to know each other.
03
Make a plan that fits.
Together, we’ll settle on a location, timing, and approach that suit your session, so you know what to expect when we meet.
A few things you might be wondering
Before you say hello.
Do we need to know how to pose?
You don’t have to arrive knowing what to do. We’ll start with a conversation, and I’ll offer direction when it helps, with room for you to be yourselves.
What if we don’t have a date or location yet?
An idea is enough to begin. Share a rough timeframe, or say you’re still exploring. If you’d like location suggestions, include that in your inquiry.
How do we ask about pricing and availability?
Tell me which kind of session you have in mind and any preferred dates. We can discuss pricing and availability around your plans before settling the details.
04 Your story, next
It starts with the two of you.
Planning an engagement session, a couples shoot, or something else? Tell me a little about it. You don’t need every detail yet.
